Volunteering should be about the experience, allowing us to draw on our knowledge and expertise in an effort to improve the world around us. It is harder than writing a check, but ultimately more satisfying. It is about change. |

Developing Minds ("DVM") is a 501c3 organization. The "Developing" in Developing Minds means that our organization is constantly evolving to meet the needs of our partner nonprofit organizations. The second word in our name, "Minds", stands for the fact that our organization is not about money, but about creation, education and teamwork. It is about asking smart people from different professions and backgrounds to work together to help those in need. |

Developing Minds' provides four main categories of service: |
|
| |
| |
Collaborate |
| |
DVM provides a forum for the exchange of ideas between leaders of nonprofit organizations and the for profit world (known as "MindShare").
|
| |
Advise |
| |
DVM provides nonprofit organizations with advice relating to advisory board development, corporate strategy and business development.

DVM provides access to products and services from for profit companies which can benefit the nonprofit community. We work with technologies ranging from software that supports background checking (Truth Technologies) to online access and bidding for live auctions (Global Auction Network).

If we cannot find a solution in the marketplace to address the needs of our partner nonprofits, DVM may try to create one. To date, we have created a time-based auction model, Time RaiserTM, currently being used by partner nonprofit organizations to reward and recruit volunteers. We encourage our audience to submit ideas for additional solutions through the Developing Ideas page on our site and hope to work with others to create new products and services.

In short, Developing Minds aims to provide a forum for idea exchange and then work with nonprofits to turn those ideas into solutions and options. We also provide advice, products, services and technology to a wide range of nonprofit organizations - enabling the nonprofit community to be more effective in their efforts to change the world. |

Developing Minds has partnerships with organizations including Street Project, Junior Achievement of New York ("JANY"), and iMentor, and continues to cultivate relationships with additional non-profit organizations, volunteers and corporations. We have created a time based auction model, Time RaiserTM, which has succeeded in increasing one organization's volunteering commitments by 25%. In addition, we have been able to provide non-profit organizations with cutting edge technology from venture capital backed-companies. We have just started to scratch the surface. |
